I also think that given the rushed nomination he did about as well as you could expect performance wise, especially against JD Vance who is basically the Scissors to his Paper as far as debate and image dynamics go He was definitely not the right VP choice for Harris though, and all in all she was not the candidate to pick against Trump. It also has had me going back and wondering wtf this woman has been doing the entire time as VP, because she really does not seem to be competent enough to be holding offices that high |

The campaign team itself was massively helped by the fact that she hadn’t chosen them and didn’t have the same instinct to try to girlboss them that she had with her own east wing staff.
This goes down as a massive loss, but the Biden campaign was a marvel. They got a literally Weekend at Bernie’s candidate elected POTUS and then got a manifestly out of her depth woman who was a notoriously terrible communicator to within a few hundred thousand votes of the POTUSy despite a substantial popular vote loss and an overall 6 point shift right of the electorate after the failed POTUSy of the Weekend at Bernie’s POTUS. I would hire Jen O’Malley Dillon to do pretty much anything. She seems to be incredibly capable and great at crafting macro strategy. |
