The best strategy may just be to fund the country at a slowly decreasing rate until the conflict simmers down as without American cues emboldening Russia the war was in an energy-sapping stalemate for both states. Expecting Europeans to pick up more of the tab is good praxis and will help to wean them off of NATO being a primarily American funded venture. With a little twinkle in the eye Trump should offer funding for EU forces to send over as manufactured aid imo as this would kill two birds with one stone and be a win-win-win all around Americans not understanding that the European histrionics about Russia come from direct and present knowledge of Soviet occupations and barbarities in the very recent past is nothing new but I didn't expect some on the right to be so openly cruel and chest thumping about demanding withdrawal from Europe, but then again Russian propaganda is having a field day with US internet media atm Also fwiw Crimea is gone and I don't think Ukraine is ever getting that back and Ukranians and libs should adjust their expectations accordingly. Trump doesn't hold that over Putin's head enough too as "letting them have it" in return for some flexibility on the main front is quite a prize for the Russians actually, considering that they're actively warring against the current world diplomatic order Also voluntary population repatriation between the occupied territories is a must for any peace deal and this little addendum will show observers and planners who was actually for what on the ground, an element that has been obscured thus far by the propaganda war |

anyway, my take on Trump is that he lies nearly constantly but does so like a high-pressure salesman and negotiator, which is who he is. so it's nearly always exaggeration and hyperbole but like any successful salesman it's done strategically. he really does draw the listeners' attention to the strengths of his proposal and the weaknesses of the opponent's proposal.
so it's not pathological lying like Hillary and Joe. |

1 particular family is from an area in Zaporizhzhia where if she stayed, her children would have been abducted by the Russians and separated from their family.
