Mac is a massive pain in the ass unless you solely live in the Apple ecosystem and are good with them telling you how you're going to use your technology. These peripherals aren't Mac compatible, oh, you don't have enough ports for this stuff but you really shouldn't have that many external peripherals anyway, oh you want to play video games no don't do that.
However, if I could get a macbook pro for work I would. Mac/ios equipment ages better than windows/android equipment. I just upgraded an iPhone pro max 11 to an iPhone pro max 14 and the 11 was still very fast and worked really well. Old windows/android stuff is always palpably slow. |

For a bunch of programs I also have trouble with them being really small text and shit on Mac

So it's Debian or bust now. Fedora breaks all the time and OpenSuse in German so Americans won't use it and it will never get traction, even though it's still the IRL best distro. If Linux users were serious people Slackware would be the standard, not Debian/Ubuntu. Arch never should have been born, people should have just used Slackware the whole time |
