They were all hill staffer strivers who presumably kissed the right asses when on capital hill in their early 20s and then caught lightning in a bottle when Obama warped from IL state senate to POTUS in 4 years. And at least in Favreau’s case he’s objectively pretty talented, though I’m sure you all hate his work.
