the only thing i can think of other than pics is that you are getting filtered hard on location. try using one of the app services that lets you set your location (or use GPS spoofing) to make your location inside the city and see if things change. or maybe the app algo essentially shadowbanned you for some reason so you aren't being shown to women

those results don't seem normal. i could pick up several cute matches every week in a tiny city, and traveling to cities of 1mm+, I would rack up a good 30 matches by the time i got to my hotel room

But like I said, not super concerning to me anymore. The hardest part has been reorienting my plans since so many of my past decisions have centered around creating a stable base for a family. For instance, I don’t really need the SFH in a suburb with great schools I live in, or to save as aggressively, or to strive at work at all if it’s just me (and puppydood) to worry about.
