The visit was organized under the Department of Defense’s Defense Technology and Trade Initiative and was intended to strengthen the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Indian navies. Pentagon officials continue to describe the exchange as "productive" and "mutually beneficial," while the Ford’s damage control teams work overtime with industrial fans and industrial-strength air fresheners.
