Did people in the 80s eat huge "complete breakfasts"?

But the photogenic classic spread and phrase “part of a complete breakfast” turned out to be very effective at convincing parents it was okay to let their kids eat Cocoa Puffs. The nutritious value of the pictured breakfast subliminally transferred to the unhealthy cereal.

But the food pyramid frauds who were pushing this knew better than to try to demonize steak and burgers directly, and that’s why they went all in against eggs (and bacon got kind of lumped in).
