I forgot why this was a big deal. So they killed their parents, big deal. More people should kill their parents imo.

Income, Clique, maybe phenotype? Idk phenotype requirements are relaxed with murderers. I didn't think Casey Anthony was hot but being a murderer added points for some people. Chris Watts has groupies.

They were rich, lived in Beverly Hills, and went to fancy schools. Dad in the movie business. Lyle Menendez attended Princeton University. They were nationally ranked tennis players. Due to their wealth, they could afford expensive defense laywers.

CourtTV was also a new thing and the OJ trial had just happened that year (also in LA) so everyone was into it as the next big trial craze. It wasn't actually televised live like OJ but they reported on it every day.

The guy playing Lyle has Patrick Bateman vibes in his portrayal.

They were from a wealthy, prominent family in Beverly Hills. One of the more interesting cases I've ever read about. Dominick Dunne's book on the subject was incredible.
