They were nationally ranked tennis players. Due to their wealth, they could afford expensive defense laywers.
CourtTV was also a new thing and the OJ trial had just happened that year (also in LA) so everyone was into it as the next big trial craze. It wasn't actually televised live like OJ but they reported on it every day. |
