Like someone i knew was just discussing some light tax fraud they committed. It's possible within a few years AI could search all his purchases against his taxes and detect that fraud.
Your cell phone could tell the police if you speed on the highway.
AI could run a deeper analysis of anyone who searches "how to launder money" against their activity to see if they're actually laundering money.
The point I'm trying to make is that right now we live in a world where there's a ton of small crimes wehre there's like a 0.5% chance of getting caught - that within 5 years AI will have the ability to catch 90% of the people.
We literally might have a policeman on our shoulder at all times.

this is true.
think about how things were 20-25 years ago before there were ubiquitous cameras everywhere. it's the Panopticon. it's the elimination of the Ring of Gyges. gonna be very interesting.
