First of all, I'm seeing some freaky images on the screen, and the music is quite good. The monsters have unique strategies, like these doods with shields tend to huddle together in a kind of phalanx. while other monsters are like the cavalry who charge you. The best way to heal yourself is to use a variety of attacks and use your shield creatively. I just encountered some monster who's nearly invisible, and bullets go through him, but you can punch his ass with your fists all day long. Sometimes these humongous demons are fighting in the background and you want to watch, but you can't because you have to fight normal size demons. Right now I'm looking at this demom the size of a skyscraper and he's making me afraid to jump off a cliff.

The Doom remakes were all surprisingly pretty good
Eternal had a good deal of asset re-use but the core gameplay Bethesda fleshed out in the original was still quite nice and engaging well into the sequel
I've heard mixed things about TDA but the underlying idea and aesthetics seemed neat and conceptually core Doom
