The employees seem to make minimum wage or slightly more. There aren’t excessive admin costs yet daycare can run more than $2K per month per child. How?

First youre underestimating the admin costs for reputable safe and clean programs. Staffing like with everyhting is difficilt and if u sont want tatooed freaks or nigs u need to have a stable of nonzomboid womenz.
Second you can in fact get cheap child care and its cheap for a reason. Get a ukro nanny off craigslist. They will rob you blind and neglect your kid. But i have a nanny cam you faggoly exclaim. Geeat! U get to see the video of these bitches low key abusing your kid (low key as in only debatably abuse per the law but terrible treatment by normal white person non slav standards).

25 kids at 2k a month = $600,000 gross
5 full time employees each making $38k = $190,000
Rent of $10k a month = $120,000
Supplies, diapers, food, furniture, toys, furnishings, etc. = $5,000/mo = $60,000
regulatory compliance of $500/mo = $6,000
= $224,000 net before taxes
post taxes (of 38% incl fed and state) = $138,880 for owner or less than $70k each if dual owned

they also may need a state licence and are inspected by various agencies to ensure they are in compliance with licence regulations and requirements.

The worst part is the daycare owner can just "take off" without ample notice and leave you scrambling to find another day care or sitter. Also, if they suspect your kid has a cold, they'll summon you to pick your kid up and tell you not to come back for at least a week

In NY, the owner told me they get paid $50 per day for 3k (free NYC program). So they gotta make up the cost with everyone else.

odd case.

I just read the wikipedia article on this since I never heard of it and it sounds interesting.
The article seems to suggest/assume without explanation that the effect is inevitable; an economic law, because high-productivity sectors offer naturally higher wages and poach from the low productivity sectors until the wages balance.
This doesn't seem inevitable at all -- people competing for lower productivity roles aren't fluidly transferable to higher productivity sectors. The effect seems entirely attributable to subsidy and culture-wide "lifestyle creep" social-safety-net politics.
