And yet... it didnt affect anyone you know, or anyone they know. The financial system didnt even yawn.
It makes me skeptical of the right wing impulse that Shit will Hit the Fans, buy ammo, etc. Or left wing impulses that Capitalism is in Late Stages and everything will implode.
Seems like everything will grind on at least through the bulk of this century. Your ammo will only get used at the range. |

I don't know. Somehow I doubt it. But I do wonder what the woke left will do if Trump wins in 2024. It's a bit worrisome. It's not far fetched for me to see millions of brains snap and suddenly there's a secessionist movement in California or whatever. We all know the woke left have no love for the United States as an entity, it's strictly power and building a new utopia. If they conclude they can't have the whole of the US, they won't stop at breaking up the country to get what they want. The hatred towards the Red areas is already evident. A Trump reelection would genuinely test many people's last loyalties towards the US as a concept and entity. |

i cannot, however, under any circumstance imagine it happening. Just as I do not think the "trigger" (a trump win) would be allowed to happen. I dont even think he would be allowed to get out of the GOP primaries. They'd Bernie him, even knowing that unlike Bernie he wont swallow it and would burn the party. That'd be fine with the GOPe, most of whom dont depend on Trump voters anyway.
And if Im wrong about the above, and Trump gets the full backing of the GOP to win the nomination, the regime will thwart the general election.
They may even indict him on this made up shit that's still percolating.

I realize that the higher ups in the party hate him and would absolutely love to nominate Dan Crenshaw or Nikki Haley or whatever, but when it comes to the GOP, the base controls the party at this point and that's not changing anytime soon and there is nothing that the higher ups can do about it. |
