i'm sure pat buchanan could have won a congressional seat somewhere in the 90s as an independent

I'm not sure even Buchanan could have unless he cut a deal somewhere with the Republicans not to run a real candidate, like Bernie does with the Dems.

Farage won pretty convincingly today though.
