All they are is mRNA to produce proteins to cause an immune response.
Nothing about mRNA is conceivably dangerous.
If one of the proteins is isomorphic to one we need to survive, it could theoretically cause a prion-like disease. However, the chance of that is vanishingly small, because a twisted-up version of a native protein isn't going to produce the immune response required to become a vaccine.
For some people with immune disorders, it could be that their immune system overreacts. This is probably the most likely way they could be harmful, but the results would be nearly immediate.

Up until 2020, these mRNA biotech companies had poor results testing mRNA drugs for cardiovascular, metabolic and renal diseases; selected targets for cancer; and rare diseases like Crigler–Najjar syndrome, with most finding that the side-effects of the mRNA delivery methods were too serious.[24][25] mRNA vaccines for human use have been developed and tested for the diseases rabies, Zika, cytomegalovirus, and influenza, although these mRNA vaccines have not been licensed.[26] Many large pharmaceutical companies abandoned the technology,[24] while some biotechs re-focused on the less profitable area of vaccines, where the doses would be at lower levels and side-effects reduced.[24][27]
From wikipedia. So the only prior concern with these vaccines was initial side effects from the delivery method? How did they fortuitously fix the problem right when COVID hit?

nobody has any idea if a drug is safe until it has been available to the general public for a LONG time (decade plus) with long-term safety databases
that's it. there is no other way to know.
there are many drugs used to treat common conditions like heart disease, etc. that have been pulled after 10-15 years on the market because in large enough populations serious adverse events become evident (that were impossibly to detect in limited clinical trials)
people telling you the vaccine is "proven to be safe" are straight up lying to your face.

Sure you are. "Would they really cancel the prior vaccines just for that though?"
If you're genuinely curious about the history of the development of these delivery systems and the dangers posed by previous ones, it's pretty easy to find.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7076378/
And you'll see that lipid nanoparticles like the ones used by Moderna and Pfizer were beginning to show real promise in 2019.

So yeah. "Not sure what you're on about" back atcha. mRNA has been an area of active research for a while. mRNA itself is necessarily safe, since otherwise we all would have died within hours of being born. The proteins can pose a danger if they are malformed versions of ones we need (in which case it would be like having a prion disease), or if they provoke too strong an immune response. The real issues in previous mRNA vaccines were related to the delivery mechanism, e.g., cytotoxicity. A year or so before COVID there was a new delivery mechanism approach that was showing promise; a number of researchers went that route in trying to find a COVID vaccine quickly.
Do you have any reason for thinking that LNPs would be equally dangerous as (or more dangerous than) viral vectors?

'people telling you the vaccine is "proven to be safe" are straight up lying to your face.'
The people who view the rest of us as guinea pigs and lab rats, pawns for social engineering experiments - all in the name of #Science and #Progress and #SocialJustice of course - respect us far, far too much to lie to our faces, I'm certain of it.
When $cientists aren't injecting lab rats with cancer, they treat them with the utmost tenderness, I've heard on very good authority. #TrustTheExperts
They're the plucky underdog rebels #FightingThePower and #RagingAgainstTheMachine, remember?
Why else would they so compassionately and selflessly remind us constantly that, due to their humble and not-at-all power-hungry and status-seeking efforts, #LoveWins?
