I realized something about his sense of humor. It's not enough for him to just tell a funny joke, there has to be an unforeseen intellectual twist to it. He won't go for the easy or obvious line. He wants to get you to laugh but he wants to do it his way. He wants to make you work for it a little bit. You have to appreciate the sophistication. There's no dick jokes, here. This isn't Late Night.
