Basically they lift someone up as though they seem viable, and just the fact that their getting elected seems possible causes people to hate them more than they would otherwise. It happens because they get overexposed and the MSM turns up the volume on their shortcomings to 11. Youngkin won in 2021 with like 20% turnout. And the party that loses the POTUS election the year before almost always wins the VA governors race. he also won by like 1% and then lost his legislative majority last year. during a POTUS turnout the math doesn't work for Republicans. They get absolutely crushed in Northern Virginia which is 1/3 the state electorate. And rural areas of Virginia continue to bleed population. Trump isn't winning Virginia unless the election is an absolute landslide, which is not what the national polls indicate. |
