Im def not smarter than you, or more sophisticated or anything, so I don't know why I should know this and you do not.
But even with reputable polls showing Trump leading nationally, sweeping the swing states... even with what feels like the final demolition of the stigma, where its perfectly acceptable and even celebrated most places to be a Trumper... even as it feels like all those miles have been travelled...

Despite whatever lead he has at the 11 oclock news hour, every major news will only be emphasizing "this is NOT over folks".
Kamala will take the stage in front of an entire team and "calmly assure everyone" that "democracy takes time", "it's an important process", etc., and any move Trump makes to declare victory will be SLAMMED by every institution as "irresponsibly premature". Redditors will even make premature ejaculation jokes, etc.
There will be limbo for days.
And then, of course, they will announce that "It is Official. We can now officially certify Kamala Harris as the 47th President of the United States."
Trump will sperg, his lawyers will be on Fox News, but all the Washington wheels will begin turning and she will begin "assembling a historic cabinet", and those stories will drown out whatever Trump is saying or doing.
Any case that reaches scotus will be doa, as unlike 2000, this will not be about how one state counts. There will be like 7 states, 20 some municipalities, and cracking the conspiracy would require a whistleblower (who at the moment is inside and on-board) suddenly being willing to die in a month.
Remember, forty years ago they blew the potus's head off and any sane person could realize it wasn't a lone psycho who, hahaha, had CIA connections out the ass. But EVERYONE just moved on, because Christmas was coming up, and the end of Q4 and then taxes and summer vacation and all the stuff of life.

Polls have undercounted his votes since 2016 and the models haven’t been changed much to account for the surge in enthusiasm when he’s on the ballot. There’s also the issue of Kamala being a late addition to the race and she’s a woman which the US just doesn’t want in charge. This is a popularity contest and Trump is the most famous person in the world. I think the margin of error in every single poll will push Trump’s way and he’ll actually win swing states by 4-5 points and win the popular vote. We will probably know the outcome by 11ET.
