Portland Homeless Tax Proposal

The Portland homeless tax, officially known as the Supportive Housing Services Tax, is a 1% marginal personal income tax on taxable income above $125,000 for individuals and $200,000 for joint filers. It was approved by tri-county voters in 2020 to fund homeless services programs in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties.

The housing crisis is an existential threat to the United States, and it was created by libs. Hilariously, Trump doesn't win in 2024 except for the lib-created housing crisis.

actually fairly based analysis.

and libs drove up housing costs in blue states which made a lot of people move to red states, giving them more electoral votes despite their failed economies.

blue states being stretched thin by high local taxes and high housing costs + having to support red welfare states which cannot support themselves.

now surprising if there's an income requirement like above. most people wont be hit by the tax but will benefit by taking homeless people off the streets.

No, it’s a sales tax in LA county. Certain cities now have a sales tax of 9.5 or 9.75. As opposed to OC which is 7 or 7.5
