Still need to watch the sequels
The first one is one of the gems of the 1990s

I absolutely love the original Wishmaster, I dont care what a million shitty reviews say- its a fun movie. Englund and Kane appearances help of course.
Part 2 is surprisingly good considering that the OG was only a modest success. The main characters are a bit trite but some of the circumstances surrounding wishes/death scenes are amusing. Its a really funny movie in some ways. Worth watching.
I think? I tried to watch part 3 years ago and turned it off because it was low budget and awful. (Without the original djinn as well) Ive read that 3&4 are genuinely terrible movies. 🤷♀️ I may try to watch them again, Im sure Ive seen worse.

Wishmaster 1 also has that 90s direct to video vibe going on, except it’s a well executed movie. Special effects are way better than they should be and it’s a fun cast. The big fantasy scene in the beginning and the final fight with the sculptures and stuff in the crime dude’s mansion are sweet. I
You and a couple other people on here have been beating the drum for the second one for a while—is that the one where the lawyer gets killed?
The 3 and 4 movies probably are horrible although when I finally watched Silent Night Deadly Nights 3-5 last Christmas season I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining they all were (even if they were also mostly just weird and bad).

I've been on a slasher binge the last couple of days
Several days ago I watched WITHOUT WARNING, which is like a super low budget proto-PREDATOR. Alien with a ridiculously cool method of killing attacks a bunch of folks in the woods. Cast includes young David Caruso (who doesn't last very long), Martin Landau (as an insane 'Nam vet), and Jack Palance (as a weirdo hunter who becomes the sort of Loomis/Ahab figure). Lots of fun (no tits though)
Then I watched DEATH SCREAMS which is an early 80s slasher that I think sat on the shelf for awhile. It makes very little sense and most of it is taken up with young people hanging out at a carnival. But I like that sort of thing, and when the slashing does come it's neat. Plus there's some great tits, and a pretty good looking guy's ass (no homo) gets some screentime too. And a sheriff who looks like Orson Welles.
Last night I saw SILENT SCREAM which is another early '80s slasher that's basically a knockoff of Psycho. Not much in the way of tits, I'm afraid, and the content is mostly tame, but it makes up for it by leaning HARD into the lurid pop-Freudianism of Psycho and its descendants.

sounds 180
i actually saw predator for the first time recently (i know, i know).
GREAT TITS are the best part about watching slashers. its hard to even view movies as "real" slashers if you dont see BOOBIES.
Death Screams sounds like its worth watching. I may check it out.
I am really looking forward to FINAL DESTINATION BLOODLINES. I may even see it in the theater, which I think? would be the first movie I've watched in a theater since Covid.

I am also.
I literally felt gleefully happy watching the preview. I dont remember the last time - if ever - that a preview put me in a great mood.
