iran is probably aware that netanyahu treats the israeli people like a battered housewife, terrifying them into thinking that the arab world wants them dead for no reason at all and i think that this is causing them to be very judicious with their retaliation against israel. israeli internet censorship (they have a military board with general censorial and "oversight" powers over the press) is a thing and israelis are bombarded with state and likud propaganda 24/7. the constant air raid sirens and drills are designed to agitate and wear down israelis' psychological states and encourage them to scapegoat iran for the nation's woes. it's criminal what netanyahu is doing to the people of his own country but hey they're jewish just shriek "anti-semite" and right and wrong no longer apply to jewish conduct it doesn't help that russia is also bogged down in ukraine; trump needed a peace deal there to curb israeli ambitions in the middle east |
