We can't get any financial assistance from him through the Child maitnenance Service Locked I'd asked a question on UKPersonalFinance, but the mods told me to come over here instead.
Daughter is 18. The man who did this is now 28. There was an investigation of grooming and stealthing by the police but they had some very expensive solicitors from a big city firm in London represent them and Crown Prosecution Service eventually dropped charges.
We've had a Child Maintenance case open since my granddaughter was born. During the 2 years of this case the CMS have managed to get us £0.
My daughter is now struggling financially. She hasn't been able to complete her A Levels. She hasn't been able to go to university.
Abortion was not an option due to threats of honour based violence which the police were also unable to verify were coming from the man's family.
He is listed on LinkedIn as a Director and Senior Partner in his father's company. He also shares a lot of his flashy possessions on social media. Holidays in Dubai and Lahore, fancy watches, fancy cars, a nice apartment in London. He comes from a wealthy family.
He is director of 3 different companies on Companies House.
Are there any other ways we can get the CMS to investigate him more? Their "real time income" has shown him as earning £0 for the past 7 years which doesn't align with reality in any way.
Is there any laws which can force him to start paying child support for my granddaughter? |
