Its pretty dark, but this isnt really far off from the truth which is why its funny.

When I went bald in my early 20s, I remember my own mom told me one time that I "Looked 40" "Looked homeless" not flame. Everyone turns on you overnight if you dont have hair on your head

Strangers, coworkers, family, its like youre walking dead

No amount of acknowledging the entropy of existence and how its out of your hands matters in the slightest to mitigate this, people have to look at your bald ugly misshapen head and they have very little sympathy for anything that makes life uglier and less pleasant, so they scramble their little brains to figure out how youre also a bad person, undeserving of basic decency etc.

Its really pronounced if you bald earlier, if I went bald in my 30s, 40s or 50s people would be like "yeah his life is over now so it doesnt really matter" but when you do it at 20, people go fucking apeshit and start actually hating you as a person, like youve inflicted something upon THEM. Its not enough that you have to deal with your own insecurity & sadness over being bald, but you have to do emotional labor to explain your baldness to outsiders too, constantly laugh off their jibes and also understand their behavior is now modulated by your skull being exposed to them
