Libs, random question for you: If Tesla's FSD is a "scam," how come

To be fair,
Elon has now been running multiple cars covering a much larger footprint in Austin than Waymo currently operates in, with absolutely no "safety driver" present in these cars for like a month solid, and thus far we haven't heard about any major safety incidents (no deaths, no injuries, no significant collisions, etc)?
I thought Tesla's so-called "FSD" was only a pathetic Level 2 lane-assist technology, at best?
And for that matter, even if it was "real" FSD (which obviously it's not since it's only a level 2 lane-assist technology), I thought the experts were also in agreement that FSD can't *really* function properly without LIDAR -- and doesn't Tesla operate on a "camera only" model?
IDK... maybe there have been major incidents, and the MSM is just covering them up because they're in the bag for Elon and Tesla???
Can any of you guys explain what's going on here? I'm starting to get a little confused.

To be fair,
Ah OK, so this technology actually is shitty and dangerous and it is crashing all over the place and causing major problems. Got it, that sounds compelling. Let's unpack that...
>>> "The new crashes include a collision with a fixed object at 17 mph while the vehicle was driving straight, a crash with a bus while the Tesla was stationary, a collision with a heavy truck at 4 mph, and two separate incidents where the Tesla backed into objects, one into a pole or tree at 1 mph and another into a fixed object at 2 mph."
Whoa, terrifying stuff! I'm particularly horrified by the crash with the bus where the Tesla wasn't moving at all (clearly that's still the fault of the Tesla -- AFAIK, when a vehicle that is moving hits another vehicle that isn't moving, the fault lies with the asshole sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle that isn't moving.)
Also for that matter, I think a 1:1 accounting of human crashes vs Tesla crashes is a very fair approach to take on super minor stuff like this. I doubt that humans drivers in the real world would ever do things like "back into pole at 1 mph" or "hit the bumper of another car at 4 mph" and then fail to report those incidents to the proper authorities...
Do we have any information on how many injuries (let's include all injuries no matter how minor) resulted from these horrific crashes, or has the corrupt MSM covered that part up for Elon, as well?

To be fair,
Fair point, I just added a note about the incidence of crashes as well... any comment on that?
At what point would you consider retracting your claim that Tesla's FSD is a "scam"? Can we put some hard numbers on it? If Tesla expands coverage out to say, 10 cities... 15 cities... 20 cities in 2026, and also expands their fleet size to, say, 100 cars... 500 cars... 1000 cars that are all operating on FSD without safety monitors present in the car in 2026... and we're still looking at a situation where the extrapolated scope and severity of "incidents" this technology causes basically mirrors the sample that we have here, would you still continue to insist that this is all just a "scam"?
I'm trying to level set upfront here because BTC literally hit $120k within the last six months, and I *still* have Pumos sneering and calling me a "gullible retard" who "fell fore an obvious scam" on that front even though I was telling people to buy it way back when it was <$1k nearly 15 years ago (btw these are the same people who INSISTED that it would NEVER hit $10k... let alone $25k... let alone $50k... let alone....)
So it almost seems like the definition of what is and isn't a "scam" depends more on whether I'm advocating it than on any sort of analysis of the sustained length or scope of the returns that long-term investors derive from it... Gee, now that I think about it, that's a pretty neat way to never have to admit that you were actually the retard who called things wrong and stupidly left a massive fortune sitting on the table... odd case! ;)

To be fair,
Discussed above -- these include horrifying and life-threatening accidents like "Tesla backed up into a pole at 1 mph" and "non-moving Tesla got hit by a moving bus" (this was obviously still somehow the fault of the Tesla, to be clear).
Basically reading the data in the least charitable light, Tesla's FSD software currently operates on the level of a typical American female driver. And on that basis, I'm actually fine banning it for being too dangerous -- but only if we also ban women from driving on public roads. Fair's fair, after all... we need to protect public safety!!!

To be fair,
I've seen enough -- shut this horrifying charade down! Public safety demands it!!!

To be fair,
CR, doesn't he know that we only talk about Tesla when we have bad things to say, not good things?!

To be fair,
IDK guys, I'm not impressed by the lib response ITT so far.
Libs, can you please do better? I'm really counting on you to come up with a compelling explanation for how this technology is ackkkkkkkkkkshually still a total scam given recent developments.
IMO the "Tesla FSD is crashing all over the place it's super dangerous" argument was a decent effort, but objectively I think it kind of fell apart once we spent 30 seconds digging into the data and stopped to assess the actual scope and severity of the incidents in question.
