The times I've been wrong have almost always been when I changed my mind down the line, over-complicating things or allowing myself to believe others who over-complicated them

It has made me become very suspicious of over-thinking things and relying on abstract reason and logic that is detached from one's initial impression. I think that as long as you are reasonably intelligent and grounded and have sound judgment, your first instincts about things are almost always correct

When I come across those poasts later, it's often not obvious at all. I have some poasts where most readers would correctly think that I sound like a fucking retard.

I directed something moderately antisemitic at bloodacre yesterday. I feel a little bit bad about it because in general I think he's one of the good ones.

I have no idea if he's seen it, it was in a thread that was a few days old.
