you didn't have to know Latin to read Locke, and Americans didn't have to wait for an English translation. If English people spoke Latin back then Locke wouldn't have even bothered writing. He had lived in exile in Germany, so he knew what real scholars were saying, then he came back to England and wrote a shitty translation of what he heard folks sayin in Germany. Total assclown
