last year was HISTORICALLY QUIET for the US. will we see the same again? anyway, we do have our first significant storm for the US (broadly speaking).
1. Typhoon Sinlaku: Passed directly over the islands of Saipan and Tinian in the Northern Marianas with peak winds approaching 150mph overnight on April 13-14. Significant damage to structures. 3 dead on land and 6 lost at sea. Some additional structural damage on Guam, located to the south.
