quitting nicotine was the hardest thing I have ever done

stick at it, the first 4 days are the hardest, it's still hard for the next few weeks, but at 4 days you have just passed the peak, don't waste all your hard work of the last 4 days, and if you stick with it you will never ever have to do those shit 4 days again, ever

the first few weeks I thought of cigarettes all the time, then it gradually tapered off and after a couple of months I no longer had any "urges" but it still took months before I could go a whole day without thinking of cigarettes

now a couple of years later the idea of a cigarette is sickening, except very occasionally when I've had a couple of whiskeys I have a flash but that's probably more strong association and memory

it's worth it, hardest thing I ever did, but also the best thing I ever did, it sucks being addicted to a chemical, stick at it you will be clear of it before too long, and just chew a lot of chewing gum (not with nicotine, just normal chewing gum) until that happens soon

It boosts focus, suppresses appetite and prevents dementia/alzheimers. Why would you "quit" other than to have some gay contrived "struggle" that you can relate to women having periods or something

I made it three days without a cig or vape. Then smoked a bunch. Then bought another vape. I’d be happy if I just had lozenges. Trying to switch vape to them. It’s hard because inhaling hits right away. Giving up cigs for vape was easy. Never tried zyn, well once when I was drunk, but it did not go well.

God speed.

PS I can quit drinking entirely and don’t miss it. Ya, I get bored and want to go out, but I can drink NA or diet soda and it’s fine. No nicotine and I am a raving lunatic in a couple hours.

I didn’t have a ton of purely physical symptoms other than being tired, mild headaches, and getting night sweats for a couple nights. But the mental withdrawals were next level. Complete Yosemite Sam mode for a week.

I was also a pretty heavy user (about 50 mg per day).
