I can hit out of sand just fine. It's easy and anyone can learn to do it in 20 mins with a modern 54-56 degree high bounce wedge
I am weirdly good at flops/pitches/lobs with a 58 or 60 vokey. The trick is correctly matching bounce/grind with lie and manipulating face accordingly. But it's such high variance that I feel it's risky doing those on a crowded course with a bunch of doods around the green
Actually really enjoy the feel of chipping with irons and chipper is not intended to be in my bag forever or every course.
If I become low handicap I'd still bring it to courses with huge greens or those weird grass bunkers, or Scotland links style clubs
