Hot Girls have noblesse oblige and are kind or at least diplomatic to their inferiors. Loser Women are miserable and cruel.
- Low jobs are more stressful than “good” jobs. You can’t quit your office job and just be a Walmart greeter. The shittier the job, the closer the supervision. This myth is perpetrated in Office Space (when Peter joins the construction crew) and American Beauty among other places.
- Scumbags are not noble savages (Bender in Breakfast Club, any novel with a low-born hero). They are almost always Scummy and Suck.
- Jocks don’t bully Nerds or Losers, they don’t even think about them. Another Hollywood myth. Bullying is almost always from Scumbags or occasionally Loser-on-Loser. |

I see that anecdotally too, some of my friends kids seems much more well-adjusted than I remember anyone being at that age. And then I see other friends kids who are completely cooked, not like performatively like 80s punks with Mohawks, just fat weird looking slobs dressed in pajamas and shower shoes, who can’t make eye contact and have clown hair.
That said, everyone who poasts here is Old, and so we are still subject to the Clique ancien regime. |
