I was honestly surprised because for the first 20 years of marriage she was mostly super calm and chill but some women have a hard time once kids come and they feel like they lose their identity. She became abusive and then when I tried to leave got more abusive.
The restraining order was likely because she tried to use it to get custody. She made up a bunch of stuff and the judge saw through it. The judge told my wife's lawyer that it looks like I was the victim of abuse. Epah actually repped me for that hearing. I ended up with a restraining order against her. I have the kids 50/50 since she filed and I really have them like 60/40 because she has been traveling a lot since the divorce.
I just bought a new house 2 doors down from Chandler. We are neighbors now! I'm renovating it but I'll move in in a couple months. I'll throw a meet up for XO once it's done. |

The argument would be (and a strong one at that), that the court does not have the jurisdiction to grant a DVTRO against the petitioner unless the respondent filed a competing one.
The most likely outcome would be that the judge would deny the DVTRO and award CSLG his attorney fees which can only be granted after prevailing at trial if the judge finds that petitioner's request was frivolous.
In theory, a judge could sua sponte grant a DVRO under those circumstances, but in 23 years practicing I've never seen it and my intuition is that CSLG is not telling the truth.
Guess we shouldn't be surprised since the "Happy Wife, Happy Life" shtick wasn't true either. |

I had dinner with CSLG and his gf last month. Thought it was going to be some fling from tinder or whatever people use these days but turned out shes the gf. Seems normal and sweet although who knows if the age difference will work long term given different life stages.
I won’t comment on what he said about his divorce. I’ve met his ex wife a bunch of times and they seemed to be in a happy relationship for a long time but obviously things change. The custody arrangement is worked out and finances will be fine. He can work a few more years and make it all back. The kids are what matters and they’ll be fine.
As for me, my life is very boring in comparison but I’m happily married and relieved that I don’t have to go through something as stressful as a divorce.

This is an interesting Talmudic case study and a sad story, so I thought I would offer my own analysis here. Here is my understanding of the situation: CSLG and CSLG wife had two children together, then entered into an open relationship (open for him, not her). They were together for 20 years and met in high school. CSLG got very rich from PI work, and they had an “ironclad” prenup. CSLG’s wife’s personality apparently changed after the birth of their daughter, leading to increased friction and ultimately to divorce. She went for a restraining order as leverage in the divorce proceedings; EPAH (lol) defended CSLG and ultimately got a restraining order against her instead. Correct me if I’m wrong about any of this.
CSLG’s perspective defense: when one dramatically increases one’s status, which he has, making tens of millions of dollars a year, one naturally wants strange pussy. Men are wired for this, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. He was with the same woman for 20 years, an OK-looking Asian woman, and he wanted to explore (why hasn’t Zuckerberg done this? Or perhaps he has). On top of this, because CSLG is short and ugly he very likely didn’t have access to pussy that handsome guys have in youth, which creates a major drive to acquire it later to make up for lost adolescence, also a natural impulse. Furthermore, women’s personalities change dramatically after having children - they generally become nagging, aggressive shrews, very difficult to put up with, and the law is heavily stacked in their favor on top of this (and they understand the law implicitly filtered through culture). This is a biological change; my wife was very chill before children and is a burden after children. So he has much higher status and his wife turned (probably) into a bitch - of course this is going to lead to major problems.
CSLG’s wife’s defense: CSLG likely pressured her into an open relationship (for him), which never works. She didn’t decide to change personalities, there was a lot of pressure after having children while CSLG was out working, smoking hookah, having fun, having his casual flings. What’s in it for her? Crying babies, even if one has help from nannies. Furthermore, CSLG has very little of an interior core - it’s all about flash, bragging to one’s friends - there is an emotional emptiness inside him ala Patrick Bateman, which would be very difficult to put up with longterm for anyone with any interiority whatsoever. Would she really want their sex life shared with randos on the internet?
I feel bad mostly for the children. The gold-standard Judith Wallerstein study on divorce - which tracked white middle class Los Angelinos for 25 years, https://commons.wikimannia.org/images/Judith_S._Wallerstein_-_Unexpected_Legacy_of_Divorce.pdf - concluded that children of divorce are *universally* more fucked up with worse life outcomes than children whose parents stayed together - *even if the divorce was easy / amicable and even if the parents stayed together were bitter and toxic together.* (Of course there may be rare exceptions, but the data is the data.) CSLG’s children are going to be fucked up even if he funds them lavishly (and it does seem that he cares about them; Jewish parents care about their children far more than the goyim do, I think). This “fucked up” aspect may not manifest until the children enter into their own romantic relationships down the road.
CSLG himself is a product of divorce - his father had no role in his life, leading to his insecurity complexes which are so unpleasantly displayed on XO - and he is passing on that family curse to his children, whether or not he rationalizes it in his mind as “oh, it’s better for the kids not to see their parents unhappy in toxicity.” The data is clear - divorce fucks up children, period. Maybe that’s the children’s cross to bear, this life is very hard and full of suffering; but CSLG has inflicted that curse on the children, and that IMO is the sad thing here.
Lastly, CSLG is currently enjoying 24 year old pussy - congratulations! Just remember that the grass is always greener. In addition to your children having permanently fucked up psyches, if you ever marry again and have children again the exact same cycle will play out - a nice woman pre-children, a shrieking shrew post-children. You trade one set of problems for another. Is it worth it? You’re “making up lost time for adolescence” on the back of your children’s psyches. A sad thing to see.
