Our school's clerkship application guide says that it is acceptable for clerkship resumes to be two pages. This seems odd. Is this bad advice?

two pages is fine, but probably not necessary if you have no work experience between college and law school.

What data would you like to add that wasn't on your 2L OCI resume?

well hopefully you've done something over the past year since OCI to help distinguish you from other applicants. you could have a publications or writing section (some people include unpublished works there; it's up to you--i included a paper i was developing for publication that was not ready to be submitted yet), more pro bono work, and more extensive involvement in your journal and a student group (or groups).

you might also add back in things you cut the first time around because law firms don't care... things like writing for your student newspaper (judges love this kind of thing).

Bands wouldn't be so hot, but an interests section is definitely something that you want in a clerkship resume but not a biglaw resume.

really? our career services office told us to put it in our resumes for oci, so the interviewers would have something to talk to you about.
