I rarely read XO. (Nothing against it, it is just a matter of not having the time to keep up with the threads)
Anyhow... this thread was just brought to my attention. If you have aspirations to crack into First Amendment law, please feel free to email me or call me. I am not difficult to track down, and would be pleased to share my insight.
Also ... should something like this come up in the future (y'know, where you might want to summon me), don't hesitate to shoot me an email with a link. I'll come by and do what I can to help out.

Thanks for the responses. Would this be better or worse than doing research for a professor? The organization is actually rather political (although not so overtly partisan), which I hope wouldn't hurt me for OCI this fall.
The odd situation with the professor I think I have the best chance of RAing for this summer is that he is my professor this semester. It would be really awkward if I got a mediocre grade in his class and then was his RA for the summer, no?

2L/3L? Class rank?
I think I now know what I did wrong. I actually focused too much on examsmanship and learning by outline. I only did well in the course that I liked. I'm trying to be more intellectually engaged this semester.
Any tips on PR?

3l. Don't know exact rank (obv) but prob top 15-20%.
PR? Are u kidding? Here's a tip: focus on property and conlaw, where you're competing against other 1ls and have a better chance of pwning. Be content with what is prob an auto B+ in PR no matter what. Plus it's a class you can learn in 48 hours while spending the rest of the semester hustling to get As in other classes.
Be efficient with your time and you can do well while still being lazy.
Edit: I don't know what u did, but focusing on the exam is normally tc strategy. Being intellectually engaged will cause you to lose focus on the key info.

Well I would check the grade distribution chart in student records...most PR classes have fat curves where everyone gets a B+. This year the 2ls and 3ls are working pretty hard. Many of them don't have jobs.
And I mean which would you rather have: an A- in 2 credits of PR or an A- in 4 credits of Property? If I were you I would focus hardest on property. There are 1ls who will gun in conlaw, but no one from my section liked property.
