it's not just that jinx amassed such an extensive collection of erotica with scrupulous devotion but he did so with little concern for the mores of his time. some suggest that the collection's more outlandish pieces -- take a 1849 daguerreotype of a woman costumed as a peacock penetrating an Asian man in a Parisian theater or the befuddling late 18th century stereoscopic images of Mongolian warriors pleasuring their sweat lathered equine -- are in large part due to jinx having come to riches through a stroke of fool's luck in 1971. these voices scoff at the jinx collection as a gaudy remnant of a new monied pervert. several prominent members of the yale community have gone so far as to retract their financial and moral support, dimming the jinx collection's outlook.

its eponymous benefactor may have been all the vile and base things his detractors charge. however, in the spirit of preserving these peculiar artifacts of humanity and the mind numbing, guilt laden fap sessions they make possible, i stand with the jinx collection.
