There's dumbed down RC and LR on both exams.
You can skip and return to questions on the GRE. You can't with the GMAT. So if you have timing issues, which your low LSAT score suggests, you want to take the GRE.
However, there may be several correct answers to multiple choice questions on the GRE. i.e., A, B, and C may all be correct, and you have to mark them as such, or you get no credit. If you've been getting by on clever guesswork on multiple choice questions, as your low LSAT score suggests, this can be a total mindfuck.

It sounds easier to achieve an impressive sounding GMAT score than GRE score, because the quant and verbal is added to form one score -- and apparently you can compensate for a bad math score with a strong verbal score.
But goddamn, studying sentence correction is tedious. And in my experience, hard GMAT problems are more difficult than hard GRE problems; yet, it seems, that correctly answered difficult GMAT problems lead to an elite score, whereas correctly answered difficult GRE problems lead only to an OK score (too many engineers w/ perfect scores).
