Not really, but better. Omega 3 dietary profile should ideally come from whole food sources and not as additives, not sure what the actual content of raw oats actually is. Anyway it's better than not getting any, but you want your diet saturated in that shit anyway and if you ate a huge slab of salmon for dinner, the negligible amount you consumed at breakfast might not really be a good justification for eating oats simply because health bloggers repeat STEEL CUT OATMEAL ad nauseum.

There's nothing 'nasty' about bananas, they're just not that great relative to the many, many other things you could eat for similar purposes.

LOL at differing to anyone just because they drag themselves through some amateur triathlons. I know triathletes who not only look like shit but also eat poorly and believe that microwaving food 'irradiates nutrients' and renders all the nutrition of the food useless and possibly toxic. Bananas are a decent source of potassium, which is helpful for someone who might experience electrolyte imbalance at some point i.e. people competing in extremely long endurance activities. It's nothing they couldn't get from two spoonfuls of guacamole, but go with what you know, I guess.

The point was that bananas are nothing special and most fruit is overrated. I selected a kiwi for my breakfast rec simply because most people are programmed to think they need to eat fruit at breakfast and kiwis are nutritionally very potent relative to serving size, which should be anyone's emphasis when eating something that is primarily water and sugar.

I prefer sunny side up, and it doesn't rob me of time to cook them this way. I put them in the pan, do other shit, come back around when they're ready. That's it. Also I don't want anything except the eggs. The omelette involves prepping other ingredients and ultimately costs you more time. There's also good research demonstrating that the saturated fat in eggs is better for you if the yolks aren't broken and mixed.

standard old fashioned rolled oats are simple, easy and cheap. 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, 2:30 min in microwave, toss in some raisins, cinnamon and splenda. takes < 5 minutes to make and eat. i almost spend more time preparing my coffee.

I frequently don't eat much later than 10:00 P.M. or so and won't eat again until 1:00 in the afternoon. I never feel like this is fasting but I guess it's right around 13 hours.

I don't believe in any of the paleo garbage, but it seems like it's a pretty natural state of affairs for the human body to go longer periods without any calories. Or an irregular calorie schedule.
