It's definitely not your typical tourist location, so you're definitely off the beaten path more than normal, but if your'e a real traveler, Syria is 180. They loved us as tourists and really seemed to appreciate that we tried to speak the language a bit.
EASY to do for 1500/mo. |

A youth hostel is $5-$35 dollars per night, depending on the country. That's $300-$2100 per month just for lodging for a couple, plus food and travel and entertainment and shit.
It would be easy to spend more than $1500 in certain countries. |
