This, I think, is why there is more of a shitlib voice being broadcast. Paired with the indulgent and valueless education most young people now receive, the state of affairs is such that a perfect shitlib storm has been raging for some time: there are more shitlibs, and they get more people to follow them, which gives them more followers, thus the cycle feeds on itself.

Note this would also explain tea partyism, though due to tea partiers' willingness to use the political system means they've gained more traditional political power.

This sort of background must be understood in order to set the ground for a prediction of shitlibism moving into the next election cycle.

I believe shitlibs have not yet been forced to translate their vocal media agenda setting into real political power. The left generally is pretty awful at this, and we might look to the failures of occupy wall street as a basic demonstration of why shitlibs are pretty terrible at translating power. In any case, we're sort of seeing the beginnings of a shitlib power struggle in the two main shitlib issues, rape and policing .

In rape, we see the shitlib insistence on dogmatic purity contrasted with reality. Shitlibs believe that all rapes are real as a matter of principle, thus, concerns for due process and truth seeking are unimportant. What is important is punishing rape whenever and wherever it happens. But that philosophy conflicts with the fact that rape claims sometimes don't happen.

On the other issue, policing, the same logic applies. For shitlibs, the fact that Michael Brown almost certainly was justly if tragically shot is irrelevant. What is relevant is continuing the perpetuation of the shitlib lie, that all are victims of a morally unambiguous oppressive regime.

These two examples reveal the shitlib dilemma: how to remain doctrinally pure while being able to sacrifice something for the sake of political pragmatism.

This is the conversation shitlibs will refuse to have in 2016. Due to their inability to be self-critical, they will hopefully be unable to reconcile their dogma with practice in a way that is politically palatable. additionally, because shitlib media is the source of shirking power, which in turn relies on extremism, we can expect more intrashitlib conflict about the issues themselves, while the bigger conversation about how shitlibs can successfully translate their media agenda setting into real power will never happen.
