Date: March 14th, 2015 11:47 AM Author: aqua dragon PAK-DA =/= Tu-160. I was addressing the B1 comment. The Tu-160 is the Soviet answer to the B1.
The PAK-DA will likely be a low supersonic aircraft like the Tu-160. It will utilize a modernized version of the same Kusnetsov engines as the upgraded Tu-160's. No reason to believe it will be subsonic actually given engine options.
The PAK-DA is being built with new mach 20 missiles in mind. The missiles are the most important thing. With them Vlad can decapitate the Yankee nuclear triad. |
