-One guy allegedly had some dirt on safety violations, was allegedly given 3 Million to just leave and STFU.
-Another Guy was just a terrible, dangerous worker. Union employee that they could not fire for some reason. Sat at home getting full pay for a year, then given like 1.5 million USD payout. Now retired.
There are a few more stories floating around up here, but I need some more deets.
Anyone know how to cop these sort of payouts IRL? |

You invoke FMLA to cover your leave and then accuse them of making your depression worse by failing to accommodate your disability. Then they have to be idiots who don't understand that FMLA trumps whatever procedures they have for requesting leave.
You'll run into similar problems with most of these kinds of schemes. Basically a savvy enough employer will know how to deal with 99% of this stuff. |

It always involved the company fucking somehting up. Like in your FMLA situation. But, usually it's just cheaper for the company to make some lump sum payment along with a signed STFU statement, than pay for a long public process. |

Say that the boss is staring at your pouch and licks his/her lips and you need to be moved. After they move you start to put pictures of you in the bathroom in their office and have you and someone else walk in on this.
Next do the same thing but with someone else in the building. So they have pics of you too. At this point start to freak out and have little breakdowns. Start seeing a mental health professional. Have open bottles of Xanax on your table and other meds. Eventually say the harassment is so bad you are going to have to quit and your lawyer said you do not need to put up with this.
They will give you 6-9 million to just leave and sign a release |
