Men start insanely disadvantaged in the dating market because women their age are wanted by all men and, with rare exception, women are not interested in younger men. So they learn to be insanely not picky. When you're a teenager, an absolutely horrible girl is tolerable if she has a nice ass.
Through the inexorable march of time the power dynamic switches and you have men who are trained to be chill&accepting calling the shots whereas women who are trained to be extremely picky are suddenly at a disadvantage. This is a huge part of why women "of a certain age" are so neurotic about dating whereas single/divorced men in their 30's are pretty chill. |
