It can be an X, a stamp, a smiley face, a thumbprint, your name, typed text, etc.
So the question is whether your court requires something different. I don't know. You'd have to tell me what court you're talking about. |

I think something like this is much more common for lawyers:
"Documents filed under an attorney's login and password will constitute that attorney's signature for purposes of the Local Rules and Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure, including Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure"
And then they'll tell you to use the /s/ or s/. |
