Trump isn't Hitler. Hitler was competent.

With the major exception of picking Manstein's plan for Case Yellow (which many German commanders found appalling), the military decisions Hitler was directly involved in were catastrophic, such as:
-Pursuing a direct-invasion strategy against England that was never going to happen, rather than pushing the Navy's strategy of steadily picking off Britain's colonial outposts and applying sub pressure until they sued for peace.
-Switching to terror-bombing of London during the Battle of Britain, which was costly and achieved nothing
-Ordering Guderian south to Kiev during Barbarossa, which probably cost him the only real chance he had to take Moscow
-Micromanaging Case Blue, causing both an unnecessary diversion into Stalingrad while also slowing their actual approach to the city, giving it time to prepare defenses
-Refusing to let Von Paulus break out after being surrounded
-Countless retarded "no retreat" orders that caused unnecessary German losses for no reason
-Firing a lot of his competent commanders, like Guderian and von Rundstedt, for disagreeing with him
-Letting hundreds of thousands of men, including valuable tank crews that didn't even have tanks, get captured in Tunisia.
-Canceling Citadel mid-battle because of panic over the situation in Italy.
And so forth.
