People fill their homes with junk they don't need and the clutter actually causes stress and mental anguish. No wonder everyone is fat and depressed

It makes you want to divorce if only to get stuff out of your house.

I've only see it in closets and shit. Most people I know keep things pretty clear of shit.

Indeed. I've had many threads about this, and can't help but notice the junk I see all over the place. My dad's house is so filled with random garbage than you can barely walk in certain rooms. The garage is a complete disaster, and would take weeks just to clear a path. Other items are being kept because my relatives are under the delusion that their junk will be "collector's items" or somehow "appreciate in value" someday. It's sad, pathetic, and almost certainly going to be my mess to deal with when they're gone.

I did this with my ex wife. She'd never throw shit away and had clothes from college in trash bags and whatnot that she'd never throw away.

I took a bag or 2 for weeks to some drop off over 6 months and she never even fucking noticed.

I cleaned up a cluttered desk a few years ago and he went crazy. These people think every little scrap of paper is crucial to their existence.

My wife tried this and her mom opened up the garbage bag and started taking things out – this is still good, this is still good. We might still need this. It's a hopeless cause

fuck yeah i love my house antiqued up. Framed pictures and paintings in every inch of the wall space. Lamps and tropical plants. Leather seats and sofas. Stacks of books and print-outs of classic threads. Various carpets on top of carpets on top of wood floors. Stripes and patterns. Wooden shit everywhere. No glass or plastic anywhere.
