Also a possibility other candidates, both Hillary and down ballot, have bought up a lot of swing state local ad time and at this point national is his only real option. |

And there are some signs that some of the late decision-making is driven by the candidate: The New York Times reported earlier this month that Trump himself has been selecting the media markets in which the campaign has been advertising.

He can't beat her at local politics (just as he couldn't beat Ted in the same game) so it's basically go big or go home in the debates. |
