My employer is making me file a 1099 in order for them not to pay Federal, State, and SS taxes...

A 1099 would mean I'm an independent contractor but my job is basically like any other job... 9-5, lunch breaks, and training... LJL ... should I blackmail my employers? Get them to raise my pay?

What would a Jew do?

Labor laws clearly state you have to volunteer how you want it in the ass. so in this case you are SOL because you are a cuck to your employer. *This is not legal advice*

It's their share of FICA (3.1% of your wages up to 118500 for SS and 1.45% of you wages for medicare), SUI and FUTA.

Fed and state income taxes are withheld from your pay.

If they are otherwise going through the proper hoops to classify you as an independent contractor, then it won't be a big big deal to them if you are wrong and some agency eventually finds you to be an emoloyee. So no, dont.

If you're gonna rat them out, do it after you get fired/quit.

Does that mean you haven't been paying income tax? They've just been cutting you a check without any withholding?

You receive more pay...because you aren't paying your fucking taxes. Do you think people can just opt out of taxes? If you do 1099, enjoy then tens of thousands of dollars you owe since you haven't been withholding.

The question boils down to: after taxes, would I be making more as a 1099 or as a W2?

I am told that I can make several deductions for 1099 that would greatly reduce my tax obligation....
