The biglaw firms that did take 1L's usually only hired 1-2 1L's versus 50 2L's, and those 1L's often had some connection or diversity Aspect.
Also one v30 dinged me as a 1L but then gave me an auto callback for 2L interviews without a prescreen, leading to my first offer for 2L SA. So just realize that the firm might have been interviewing you for a more likely 2L slot. If they are interviewing 100 1L's and hiring 1-2 their primary motivation is pre screening. |
