Anyone else done a 180 on wanting kids because of the current political climate?

I really looked forward to the unique kind of love it would bring, and I really looked forward to raising someone who, hopefully, would go on to live a good and happy life. In the last year, though, the thought of having a baby, especially a white baby, totally terrifies me. Although I still selfishly want a child on some level, it seems totally reckless at this point. At best, I'd run a huge risk of the child growing up in a total shithole of a country largely inhabited by absolute morons who have no interest in productively discussing and confronting the difficult problems facing the world. At worst, I'd run the risk of the child growing up in a country that will be hostile to him or her entirely based on the color of his or her skin. It's been a very sad turn in my life.
