All I'm saying is we are TTT at space and don't know enough about it at this point to be able to say the galaxy is devoid of intelligent life. Not saying aliens from the Milky Way definitely exist

Combine this with our knowledge of how quickly abiogenesis happened on earth (we have found putative fossilized microorganisms in hydrothermal vent precipitates that lived around 4.28 billion years ago. earth formed 4.54 billion years ago) and I find it highly unlikely that earth is the only planet in the galaxy that harbors life. In order for that to be true, earth would have to be extraordinarily special, which we know it is not. Given how many planets are in our galaxy, it is highly likely that there are many planets with environments much more favorable for holding life than what we see on earth.
