LA.

At least at this point in my life. I grew up in Dana Point/San Clemente/Laguna Beach, moved to LA for UG, east coast for LS and SV/SF for work.

If NYC had CA weather it would be 180^180, but fuck everything about that summer weather. OC is just boring in your 20s. Lol @ hitting the peninsula to wait in line for Malarky's or paying cover to go into fucking Skyloft or the Marine Room in Laguna. Bay Area has beat chicks compared to LA/OC and literal shitlib caricatures.

LA is malleable to whatever life you want to live. You want to live the suburban hellscape? Fine, move to Brentwood and settle down. (Sup earl) Are you a shitty edm person and want to party all night? Yeah go ahead. Hipster? Silverlake, Venice. Surfer? Point Dume, Malibu. Hot hipster girls, less strivers, and no one gets triggered when I say "no worries".

No one gets triggered in the bay area over no worries. NYC for a summer was fun as hell and chicks are cool but it's too crowded. LA/OC people are kind of dumb but more relaxed. Also it's mostly suburban neighborhoods. Bay area is cool but people are pretentious and liberal. Hard to pick which is the best. OC would be great to raise a family, NYC is ideal for a bachelor, bay area if you're looking to develop a career and network and are libtarded yourself. LA if you're a superficial fuck with some money. LA is malleable like you said except you won't live that big city life with the convenience of walking and easy meet ups.

Cr, I just meant East coast people w/ no worries. I agree with everything you said, but I honestly think LA girls are much easier to deal with if you don't tinder etc & you grew uo down here.

OC seems like a perfect place to raise a family, and it was pretty 180, but there's still a lot of fucked up shit w/ regard to opiates and everything. I think I'd rather raise a family in Monterey/Central Coast or somewhere comparable in SD

It's all pretty safe in south oc, I can't think of an area where I'd be sketched out walking around. Even the mexican parts of SJC and SC aren't menacing. Maybe I wouldn't hang around T Street at night, but that's just beach punk tweaker bullshit.

LA if you have a family.

NYC if you're single.

Bay Area if you're either an insufferable shitlib or techie or into paying a lot of money for shitty ranch style home in superstudyazn zip codes.

OC dead last.

Of the other three, OC by far. More "real life" ... not that it's saying much.

Live in LA. Seems like I meet so many people moving here from New York, but rarely anyone that moves east. It's a shitty lifestyle there, weather, housing, COL, it's all shit. Great place to visit for a week per year.

SF is worse than NY, half the amenities but more expensive. Tons of striver tech douches and very few women. Too many Indians and Asians.

OC, I think, is the most subjective beast. It exaggerates both the best and worst parts of LA. For me, it's dead last. But I can see a legit argument for it being the best of the four.

Have spent a lot of time in all 4, though have not lived semi-permanently in all of them.

It's hard to make the case for NYC, since sf dominates it on every dimension except maybe col nowadays.

Between sf, la, and oc, it'll depend a lot on priorities. Also, the Bay Area is very large and homogeneous so there are some parts you'd compare to nice parts of oc and other parts you'd compare to south central la.

Sf if you are ultra lib, work in tech, need density, like urban environment.

Oc if you have a family and don't make $1m per year.

La if you value weather and "culture"
