Some stones are harder to recreate because it is the inclusions and imperfections that make them beautiful. So for example a created emerald or blue sapphire looks like shit, even though the chemical structure of the created stone is identical. They look too perfect and therefore fake.
But a created white sapphire looks exactly like a real one. It's the kind of stone where you're going for perfection anyway. Same with diamonds. |
